The Problem
Assessment feedback should be clear, specific, objective, constructive, actionable, supportive, and prompt. Meeting this requirement for small cohorts is typically feasible. However, meeting this requirement for large cohorts across multiple assessments is not only challenging, but potentially detrimental to student outcomes for multiple reasons.

To explore opportunities and techniques for using AI to assist in generating assessment feedback, in a manner that is legitimate to stakeholders, and that can be effectively scaled to support large cohorts.

Identify and prioritise requiremensts based on stakeholder consultations
Research and evaluate appropriate technologies and techniques.
Design a prototype solution and methods of evaluation.
Engineer a prototype.
Evaluate the prototype.
Create a project debrief and report on any outcomes and impacts.
